Colby Roberts practices in the areas of commercial litigation, business law, construction, securities, real estate, and labor and employment. Prior to joining Friedman & Feiger, Colby served as an associate attorney for a boutique construction law firm, where he assisted client’s in all aspects of their businesses, in both litigation and transactional matters.
Mr. Roberts received his juris doctorate, cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law. He graduated magna cum laude from the Ole Miss, with a B.A. in both Classics and Economics. Colby is admitted to practice in Texas.
During law school, Colby gained extensive regulatory experience, where he worked for both the Securities and Exchange Commission and Federal Trade Commission. Mr. Roberts also co-authored an article on the SEC’s use of section 20 (a) of the Securities Exchange Act, which was published in the University of Virginia Law and Business Review. Outside of work, Colby serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Better Business Bureau serving North Central Texas.
