At Friedman & Feiger, Ted Smith acts as counsel for mergers & acquisitions, corporate and general business law, oil & gas, secured lending and finance, real estate, securities and commercial litigation matters.
Mr. Smith received his Juris Doctor degree, graduating cum laude, from the Texas Tech University School of Law. During law school, Mr. Smith earned a Jurisprudence Award for Superior Academic Achievement in Oil & Gas in 2004 and a Jurisprudence Award for Superior Academic Achievement in Evidence in 2005. Mr. Smith was an Advanced Mock Trial semi-finalist and was voted best speaker in the Advanced Mock Trial semi-final round. Mr. Smith served as president of his first-year law school class.
Mr. Smith graduated from Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business with a 3.9 GPA and was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honors Society. Mr. Smith graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and a minor in business administration.
Mr. Smith is a member of the Oil, Gas and Natural Resources section and the Corporate Counsel section of the State Bar of Texas.
He is also a member of the Dallas Petroleum Club and the Dallas chapter of Young Professionals in Energy, where he served as president, 2010 – 2011. Mr. Smith is currently the President of the Dallas/Fort Worth Alumni Chapter of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honors Society. Mr. Smith is also an Eagle Scout.
