AREA OF PRACTICE

Construction

The construction law practice group of Friedman & Feiger LLP is comprised of seasoned attorneys who represent general contractors, subcontractors, owners, developers, lenders and material suppliers. The representation includes drafting and review of contracts, including standard AIA contracts, mechanics, and materialmen liens issues, construction loans, payment rights and remedies, license bond claims, construction defect litigation, lien foreclosures, mold and infestation issues and insurance coverage.

This practice group can deal with project related issues such as change orders and architect/owner/contractor disputes. They have significant experience in assisting contractors and material suppliers with their payment rights and remedies including lien and bond claims, stop notices and pay when paid provisions. We have several attorneys that have experience with lien foreclosure actions. These attorneys also are experienced in protecting the interests of contractors and suppliers in bankruptcy court. Even before a project begins, the construction law practice group is well equipped to assist the construction industry and those who deal with the construction industry to see that the project reaches a successful completion.
