AREA OF PRACTICE

Labor & Employment

Whether it be restrictive covenant agreements or discrimination regulations, employment laws in Texas and the United States are constantly changing. Keeping up with these changes and defending your company in an environment that is not only in constant flux, but is also granting increasing protection to employees creates a challenge for employers of all sizes and industries.

At Friedman & Feiger, we have a broad experience in defending employers and employees in both state and federal courts and agencies charged with the administration of employment laws, including the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Texas Commission on Human Rights, and the Texas Workforce Commission. We also have experience representing employers in labor negotiations under the NLRA and RLA. Many times the proverbial “ounce of prevention” is really worth “a pound of cure,” a little counseling on the front end of a dispute can save all involved a lot of time, energy and money in the long run, which is why we offer a broad array of counseling and training for employers and employees on a number of matters, ranging from employee discipline, hiring & firing, avoiding discrimination in the workplace, on the one hand, to employment policies to restrictive covenant agreements, on the other.
