Law360, Houston (May 4, 2016, 5:03 PM ET) — A Houston man filed suit in state district court Tuesday, alleging that Justin Bieber smashed his cellphone at a nightclub last month for taking a picture of the Canadian pop star while he was chugging and spilling a beer.
Robert Earl Morgan, who is seeking less than $75,000 in damages, wrote in his petition that the destruction of his phone happened around the same time Bieber was using what’s known as a beer bong — a funnel-and-tube contraption that allows one to drink alcohol at a faster rate than normal — and that he became angry after he noticed Morgan using his phone to capture the moment.
